Guide to Drag Racing for Andoid

Guide to Drag Racing for Andoid

1. Buying a car.

If you want to buy a new car, you have to choose if you want to race in 1/4 mile, or 1/2 mile races.
If you want to race in 1/4 mile races, you should look for a light car with alot of grip, because they are generally fast in the first part of a race. For 1/2 mile races, more heavy and powerfull cars will be generally faster.

Always test drive a few cars before buying one. Some cars will be better in an actual drag race than the stats would suggest. When you're done buying your new racing machine you can start winning some races!

2. Racing.

Always pick a race you think you can win. There is no point in losing races, because the bulk of the money you earn from racing depends on winning or not. Racing a computer opponent is easier than racing online. If your car is not near its level limit, you should race against computer opponents. When you spend enough money on upgrades, an your car is reaching its level limit, you should race against online opponents. You can chose to race in your own car, you can race an online opponent in 2 identical cars, or you can race up to 10 different opponents in the Pro League. Racing in the pro league puts you up against the best racers in your level, but it grands the most cash if you do well.

The race starts with the launch.
Hold down the gas pedal, and release it a split second before the flag goes down for an ideal RPM. When shifting gear, getting perfect shifts is generally most important in the higher gears. Most cars won't run their best time when you shift every gear at perfect shift. The trick is to shift 1 or 2 times (depending on the car and upgrades) directly after releasing the gas pedal. This way your RPM will remain low, giving you better grip when the tires spin. Once the tires stop spinning you should start perfect shifting.

3. Upgrading your car.

Before spending your hard earned cash, race your car, and look at your cars behaviour. If it has alot of wheelspin, consider upgrading your tires or weight reduction. If your car starts fast, but gets outrun in the long run, consider upgrading your engine, turbo or intake/exhaust. Always keep an eye on your car's level limit.

Thats it for this time, but if you want more detailed strategies on fine tuning a few great cars please let me know!
